I hear “reality show” and “VH1” and my skin crawls, and this vapid exercise in party music is representative of why Los Angeles gets a bad rap. But I post it not because of Official Hot Mess’ forthcoming reality series, nor because of the cameos by Flava Flav and Adrienne Curry (whoever she is), but out of my love of sports trivia: OHM plasticgirls Lindsey and Kristy Landers are the daughters of actress Judy Landers and former Dodgers relief pitcher Tom Niedenfuer – an otherwise fine major-leaguer who, 25 years ago this fall, served up critical home runs to the St. Louis Cardinals’ Ozzie Smith and Jack Clark in the National League Championship Series, making a certain Redbirds fan deliriously happy.
