Picks for a super Sunday:

‣ Twenty years after his death, French songwriter/actor/director Serge Gainsbourg remains a huge influence on the pop music of today. Tonight’s Serge Gainsbourg Tribute at the Hollywood Bowl features the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra led by Jean Claude Vannier and Scott Dunn – accompanied by an A-list band including bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen, guitarist Benji Lysaght, keyboardist Roger Manning and drummers Joey Waronker and James Gadson. The scheduled guest vocalist are impressive as well – Beck, China Forbes, Sean Lennon, Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear, Victoria Legrand of Beach House, Mike Patton, Zola Jesus, Lulu Gainsbourg and (just added) Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
‣ Charles Bradley teams up with Hands for a Sunset Junction makeup show at the Echoplex. (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, originally scheduled, have had to cancel because they are stranded in New York City due to weather.)
‣ Deadmau5 lands for a third sold-out night at the Palladium.
‣ That Dog’s does a second sold-out reunion show at the Troubadour.
