Download: Dante Vs Zombies, ‘Natural Disaster’

Dante Vs Zombies have inspired a graveyard full of descriptors in their delirious three-year lifespan – “spaghetti Western jungle music” and “ghetto pop” among them. “Bongload of fun” came to mind when the L.A. collective’s first single “Yes, I”m Stalking You” hit a couple years back, and it still applies to DVZ’s first full-length “BUH,” due April 10 on the appropriately titled Neurotic Yell Records. Frontman Dante White-Aliano still sings like he’s having an anxiety attack, and surrounded by an all-star cast that includes his former Starlite Desperation bandmate Jeff Ehrenberg along with Gabriel Hart, Jada Wagensomer, Matt Polly and Laena Geronimo, “BUH” is 34 minutes of glam in a funhouse. “Zombies / How come you hate my guts?” White-Aliano cries in “Everything’s A-OK!” No haters here; Dante Vs Zombies may seem like schtick, but the music sticks.
