IndependentFMCue the New York Dolls’ song? Moheak Radio, the Los Angeles-based Internet radio outlet launched in 2010 by ex-staffers from the beloved terrestrial station Indie 103.1 FM, is addressing its “Personality Crisis.” It’s getting a better name.

The Independent FM – “Indie FM” for short – has begun webcasting from the URL TheIndependent.FM. Besides a cadre of shows hosted by the likes of Adam 12, Native Wayne Jobson, Full Metal Jackie, TK, Sat Bisla, DJ Paul V, Jose Galvan, Mo Herms, Lina Lecaro and Wayne Lothian from The English Beat, the Independent FM offers streaming music 24/7. (It’s also the home of the weekly Buzz Bands LA Show hosted by Kevin Bronson at 11 a.m. Pacific Time on Fridays.)

The Independent FM will continue to be affiliated with the iHeart Radio network of stations. On Twitter, the station has the handle @indiefmradio.
