Our six-pack of shows for your week:

The Tallest Man on Earth’s new album “Dark Bird Is Home” is pretty exquisite stuff — the artist born Kristian Matsson headlines the Wiltern tonight.
► Soulful, bluesy and twangy, Gold Star have been doing a Tuesday residency at Harvard & Stone to mark the release of their full-length debut “Dark Days.” This week, it’s value-added, as Leslie Stevens and White Dove support.
► Opinions are welcome: The Last Internationale bring their politically charged rock to the Viper Room on Wednesday.
► The Echo and Echoplex ought to be hopping Thursday, with Wild Nothing and Roses playing a free, shoe company-sponsored event downstairs and Speedy Ortiz headlining upstairs. We’ll take the Echo show, thank you — Speedy Ortiz’s new album “Foil Deer” is a rager worthy of repeat spins, and this is quite possibly the last time you’ll see them in a venue this small.
► Can we get a little love for Rocky Dawuni? Sure, we can. The Ghanian singer-songwriter-activist, a staple of L.A.’s Afro Funké night for years, recently released his new collection of Afro-roots anthems “Branches of the Same Tree.” Dawuni and his Cumbancha labelmates Joe Driscoll & Sekou Kouyate, along with the Afro Funké crew, present “A Night of Afro Roots Vibrations” on Friday at the Regent Theater.
► And fans of Magic Wands [raises hand] can get a preview of the dream-poppers’ new album “Jupiter” when they headline the Satellite on Sunday night.
