No idea whether this qualifies as a milestone, but tonight marks the 200th L.A. Buzz Bands Show on KCSN. If you have any fireworks left over from Saturday night, please detonate them at 9 tonight, when I hit the airwaves (find KCSN at 88.5 FM, or stream at KCSN.org) for my weekly hour of Los Angeles music. I have new tunes from two bands kicking off residencies Monday night — Sonny Boy Thorn (who play the Satellite) and Beach Party (who play the Echo). Plus, there will be fresh songs from Alex Lilly, the New Division, Gothic Tropic, No Win, Boroughs and Small Wigs, along with recent favorites by Sun Drug, the Moth & the Flame and Superhumanoids. Just shy of four years doing this show, I feel as if I’m just getting warmed up.
