Calexico kicks off a West Coast tour behind the new album “Edge of the Sun” at the Regent Theater, with Villagers opening. Watch Calexico’s video for “Falling From the Sky” below.
► U.K. singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas [pictured], whose second album “Blood” is out at the end of the month, headlines a sold-out show at the Troubadour, with KING supporting.
Indigo Girls, their 14th album “One Lost Day” out last month, visit the El Rey Theatre, with Caroline Aiken supporting.
► Synth-pop trio MUNA [see “So Special”] do a show at the Silverlake Lounge, joined by Saturn City and Crystal Sister.
Astronauts, Etc. play the Echo behind their album “Minds Out Wandering,” with Harriet Brown and Swim Team supporting.
► And with their new album “Assembling” out in May, Two Sheds kick off a residency at Harvard & Stone. Tall Tales and the Silver Lining and Mike Sempert support.
