Music everywhere on a Friday night; read carefully there’s information here:
► L.A. electro trio Superhumanoids [pictured], with their sophomore album “Do You Feel OK?” due Sept 11, do a free show as part of the Figat7th Downtown Festival, supported by their Innovative Leisure labelmates Tropics.
► David Gray and Amos Lee team up for the first of two nights at the Hollywood Bowl.
► Dream-pop chanteuse Tamaryn [see “Cranekiss”] and Mystic Braves perform at “Into the Night” at the Skirball Center, along with a live liquid light show by the Joshua Light Show.
► Seventy-six years young, Judy Collins does a free show at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park.
► The long-shelved, Steve Albini-produced album by ALOKE [check out “Head on a String”] finally comes out today, and the New York hardcore/post-punk band (featuring Christian Zucconi of Grouplove) plays the Echoplex tonight. GRMLN opens.
► Mocky [see “Living in the Snow”], joined by guests such as Kelela, Moses Sumney and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, celebrates the release of his album “Key Change” at the Lyric Theater. Akua opens.
► Ben Lee celebrates the release of his album “Love Is the Great Rebellion,” with a headlining gig at the Troubadour. The Silver Lake Chorus (Lee penned one of the songs on their debut album), Falls and Ryan Dilmore support.
► WAND performs as part of the program at Step and Repeat at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.
► And reunited and re-energized L7 does a second night at the Fonda Theatre, supported by Skating Polly.
