Way Over Yonder festival won’t happen this year

The Way Over Yonder festival, the West Coast arm of the Newport Folk Festival that in 2013 and ’14 brought the likes of Jackson Browne, Local Natives, Neko Case, Conor Oberst and Lucinda Williams to the Santa Monica Pier, won’t happen this year. But the event has designs on returning in 2016.

“After planting our flag with two great years of Way Over Yonder on the Santa Monica Pier,” said Martin Fleischmann of L.A. co-promoters Rum & Humble, “we are taking a slight breather and plan on continuing with the festival in 2016. Hope to see you and everyone else then.”
