Bür Gür

“Kinda NSFW” reads the introduction to Los Angeles duo Bür Gür‘s new music video for “Neighbors,” a track from the eclectic pop group’s forthcoming album, “Have You Lost Your Faith in God?” Bür Gür is the collaboration between childhood friends Corbin Clarke and Makan Negahban. The pair released their debut album “Alligator Cheesecake” last year on video director Dustin Krapes’ imprint, How to be a Microwave — Krapes is also leader of the band Habits. In the video, a young man (Ryan Bergmann of Retox) going about his normal mundane routine notices a mysterious stranger appearing everywhere he goes, even in his washing machine. Nothing is creepier than being trailed by a guy wearing flip flops with sweatpants. As the encounters grow stranger, the song maintains a very relaxed level of paranoia, which nicely heightens the video’s absurdity. Just in time for Halloween.
