Friday’s Los Angeles concerts:

RAC‘s “Going On Own Way” tour hits the Shrine Expo Hall, bringing a big lineup including Big Data, Geographer, Filous and Karl Kling.
The Polyphonic Spree, on tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their first album “The Beginning Stages of …,” headline the El Rey Theatre with Andy and Uncle supporting.
Sturgill Simpson holds forth at the Theatre at Ace Hotel, with Billy Wayne Davis supporting.
► It’s Zeds Dead and Aryay at the Fonda Theatre.
The Cult (who have a new album “Hidden City” due Feb. 6) and Primal Scream team up for a big night at the Hollywood Palladium.
► Scottish indie-rockers We Were Promised Jetpacks headline the Teragram Ballroom, supported by Seoul.
► Bay Area indie-poppers Trails & Ways headline the Bootleg Theater behind their debut album “Pathology.” Get there early for Babes and Breakfast.
► And interstellar psych-rockers Fever the Ghost headline the Echoplex, joined by Fartbarf and HOTT MT.
