“Mom, I’m bringing the band over for Thanksgiving.” And so it goes with Dorothy in Emma Sydney Menzies’ video for the single “Raise Hell,” as the singer and her bandmates saunter home for what promises to be an uncomfortable holiday with the family. They are relegated to the children’s table, of course, before some hell-raising ensues. Better this happens than the dinner-table talk turns politics, we suspect. Dorothy’s full-length debut is due to arrive in the new year. Meanwhile, pass the gravy.
