► Family of the Year, who have a new, self-titled album just out, play the first of two sold-out nights at the Troubadour, joined by Kaleo and Cillie Barnes.
► The Chainsmokers head up a huge night at the Shrine Expo Hall that features Paper Diamond, Ansolo, DallasK, Jahkoy and Cheat Codes.
► Gogol Bordello, celebrating the 10-year anniversary of “Gypsy Punk: Underdog World Strike” by playing that album in its entirety (along with more), headline the Wiltern, supported by Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas.
► Australia’s Thomas Jack does another night at the Fonda Theatre, supported by Bixel Boys and the Rooftop Boys.
► Blackbear holds forth at the El Rey Theatre.
