If the Buzz Bands LA Holiday Hurrah wasn’t a warm-and-fuzzy, you need to get your temperature checked.

SWIMM, Babes and Memory Rounds provided a big crowd at the El Cid on Saturday with a night of excellent music. SWIMM performed songs from their “Beverly Hells” EP as well as some new jams they plan to release next year. With the lights down low for maximum effect, Babes tugged at heartstrings with sibling harmonies and the romantic pop on their debut full-length “Untitled (Five Tears).” And Memory Rounds — the duo of Ryan Kirkpatrick and Matt Aveiro backed by the musicians who recorded with them — played their first live show, performing their debut “Time Runs Low” in its entirety. And DJ Bumbaclot kept things hopping between sets with his eclectic selections.

Thanks to everyone who performed, attended and assisted — a chunk of the proceeds went to benefit the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
