Last year, L.A./San Francisco trio Spectacular Spectacular released their full-length debut “Blur,” a collection of lush pop (and occasionally rock) that didn’t garner as much attention as did the exploits of guitarist Isley Reust, a YouTube star, actress and trans advocate. Now the trio is back at work on new music, with Illinois native Jessica Knight having replaced Jessica De Grasse in the lineup with Reust and Millie Chan. The evocative new single “Her Story” is a more of an acoustic meditation than much of the material on “Blur;” it was written for a web series of that name. The song will appear on a new LP Spectacular Spectacular has in the works.
