L.A. quartet Harriet celebrated the release of their long-awaited full-length “American Appetite” with a show, like the album, full of twists and turns Friday night at the Troubadour. The band — Alex Casnoff, Henry Kwapis, Patrick Kelly and Matt Blitzer — had their frenetic moments (like during “Irish Margaritas”) and more solemn ones as well, like when the house lamps on stage were illuminated and a string trio joined frontman Casnoff for a piano-and-strings number. Clara-Nova preceded Harriet, and Korey Dane opened the sold-out night.
