Desert Trip to bring iconic lineup to home of Coachella in October

“Just this once,” concert promoters Goldenvoice said today in announcing Desert Trip, a three-day conflagration of Hall of Famers at the home of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

In what promises to be a historic weekend, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and the Who will appear over three days, Oct. 7-9, on a specially configured festival grounds.

The festival will have no secondary stages or supporting acts, only a strong food element — “an all-star lineup of world renowned chefs and 40 of the best restaurants from Los Angeles to New York,” the announcement said.

The Stones and Dylan will play Friday, Oct. 7; McCartney and Young on Saturday, Waters and the Who on Sunday.

Passes go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, priced thusly:
