Band of Horses — the 12-year-old indie-rock outfit helmed by bearded, flannel-wearing Ben Bridwell — seem least likely to end up at a party inhabited by alien weirdos, but that’s where the band is all tied up, playing percussion on a stack of cold cuts, in the video for their new single “Casual Party.” The song is from the band’s fifth album and first in four years, “Why Are You Ok” (out June 10). The video is the work of Ben Fee, whose previous “party” concept pieces include the down-home shindig for the Lumineers’ “Hey Ho,” which has now been viewed more than 150 million times between YouTube and Vimeo. Here, though, Band of Horses — thankfully still sounding like Band of Horses — are captives in a house full of some of the most bizarre creatures imaginable. Don’t do drugs, kids. And, hey, costume designers, that means you.
