► At the Drive-In, with Sparta’s Keeley Davis now manning the guitar in place of founding member Jim Ward, rocks the Hollywood Palladium.
► Septuagenarian soul man Ural Thomas — fronting Ural Thomas & the Pain — visits the Bootleg Theater. The Portland legend is working on new music with Nick Waterhouse, who’s DJing the night.
► Brooklyn singer and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzon-Montano, who’s toured with Lenny Kravitz and been sampled by Drake, plays a special solo show at Resident.
► And Chicago rockers the Hush Sound, doing a 10-year reunion tour, play a sold-out show at the Troubadour, supported by My Body Sings Electric and Zac Clark.
