Pershing Square summer concerts: WAR, Todd Rundgren, Reverend Horton Heat, more

The Pershing Square Summer Series has announced its 2016 slate of free shows, highlighted by double-bills featuring Reverend Horton Heat and The Blasters on July 30 and  Todd Rundgren and Sofi Tukker on Aug. 20.

The annual summertime fare at the downtown park kicks off with a series of lunchtime concerts on Wednesdays starting July 13; six weeks of Friday night movie screenings starting July 15; and the popular Saturday night concert series starting with L.A. legends WAR and Venezuelan indie rockers Los Amigos Invisibles on July 16.

On Saturdays, the concert lawn is open to the public at 7 p.m., with music starting at 8. Food trucks and a full bar will be available. Entrance is at 6th and Olive streets. [See the park’s policies.]
