Sloppo’s epically scary birthday party sets the scene for this animated video directed by Meghan Tryon and Garrett Davis. Soundtracked by Ty Segall’s “California Hills,” off his latest album “Emotional Mugger,” an unsuspecting clown gets thrust onto a stage, ridiculed, beaten up, tossed around and chased into hellish dimensions while mean man-baby Sloppo watches on, angrily entertained by the torture. The poor clown eventually gets eaten, beaten and pooped out by a worm, and blows up the jail he escaped from at the story’s beginning, so maybe that qualifies as a happy ending.
