Chicano Batman, La Luz and the Weirdos and Dorothy are among the dozens of bands playing the sixth annual Echo Park Rising, which expands to more venues and features (for the first time) a children’s stage on its four-day run Aug. 18-21.
The festival’s first-wave announcement just went up on its website here. More information to come.
Other bands playing prime times at Echo Park Rising include the Frights, Harriet Brown, Meatbodies, Jesus Sons, Mind Meld, Part Time and LA Drones.
The Buzz Bands LA Stage on Saturday at Taix will feature Adult Books, Kolars, Moon Honey, Cellars, Fakers, Butch Bastard, Brit Manor and Warbly Jets. Set times to be announced.
Other bands in the festival’s first-wave lineup announcement include Feels, Froth, Sex Stains, the Molochs, Alyeska, Air Life, Banta, Brainstory, Barrows, Jail Weddings, Kauf, Pom Poms, T.O.L.D., Rainbow Arabia and Winter.
