The title of L.A. duo Aux Lingua’s debut EP — “To You, For You, With You, Without You” — is emblematic of the music’s sometimes-dramatic polarity. Illinois-birthed, L.A.-based dream-poppers Stephanie Erin and Bradford Snow prove adept at moving in and out of the shadows, bright then melancholy, haunting then comforting. The swooning first single “Wake Up” is the highlight, but “Stars Underground” is best at playing outside the lines, with insistent electronic beats and woozy chorus. The EP, which features Marc Walloch on guitar and Brandon Werlin on drums, is out this week and available on a name-your-price basis on Bandcamp.
