Jane’s Addiction’s 25th anniversary show brings the Cult, Garbage and Violent Femmes to the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre.
► Day 1 of the inaugural Music Tastes Good festival in downtown Long Beach is highlighted by Rival Sons, RX Bandits, Living Colour and Son Little.
Cold War Kids headline the Hollywood Palladium, supported by the Strumbellas.
Twin Shadow performs Prince’s “Purple Rain” in its entirety at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Band of Skulls rock the Wiltern in support of their new album “By Default.”
► The Desert Stars Festival kicks off at Pappy & Harriet’s, headed up by And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Moon Duo, Strawberry Alarm Clock and Sloan.
Dinosaur Jr. is back for another night at the Teragram Ballroom.
