Over the weekend, several major publications weighed in on the presidential race, all endorsing Hillary Clinton. It turns out, however, that the cats, too, are against Donald Trump. And sharks. And rocks. And black holes, and even vampire bats. L.A. madcap pop outfit Madame Headdress — the brainchild of the husband-and-wife musical team of Eli and Mary Chartkoff (of the Monolators), along with tap dancer-singer-percussionist Alissa Newton, flautist-singer Arlene Siodia and vocalist Ellia Glassing— weigh in with “Cats Against Trump” and its kitschy, DIY video starring puppets and pinatas. Just what we need as the first major debate draws night: Casiotone, saxophone, a catchy chorus and a heaping helping of levity.
