L.A. quartet Allah-Las have just finished touring the U.S. in support of their third full-length album “Calico Review,” released this September. Their last U.S. gig was a dreamy homecoming Saturday night at the Regent Theater. Performing in front of a sold-out crowd, Allah-Las romanced their starry-eyed audience with their psych-rock garage jangle. With an extra percussionist and keyboardist in tow, as well as a couple of happy stage crashers, Allah-Las played a mixed 18-song set of mid-tempo golden era haze. Their tunes seem to work for both coastal and desert soundtracks and they’ll continue their tour in Europe starting Oct. 17.

Allah-Las were supported by Montreal’s indie-synth quartet TOPS who weave a delicate balance between cute and creepy with swoony melodies and vintage-lite pop.
