“Good songs make you rich,” Mario Cuomo sings in the Orwells’ new single “They Put a Body in the Bayou.” A few more like this, and the suburban Chicago hell-raisers will be picking up our bar tabs. The song, introduced today via a video full of backroom politics and a secret service contingent you’d think twice about hiring, is from the quintet’s third album, “Terrible Human Beings,” out Feb. 17 via Canvasback Music. It’s the follow-up to 2014’s “Disgraceland” and sees the band working with producer Jim Abbiss, who helmed a few songs on the previous album. What to expect? “Mutilated pop songs,” the band says. “We wanted to make songs that at their core are catchy and pretty,” Cuomo adds, “then slash them up.”
