GIRLSCHOOL, the female-powered festival that debuted last January, returns for a second year Jan. 27-29 at the Bootleg Theater, with a lineup topped by Chelsea Wolfe, the Bird and the Bee, Deap Vally and Francisca Valenzuela.

Conceived by Anna Bulbrook (of the Airborne Toxic Event, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and the Bulls) as a response to rock music’s boys-club stature, GIRLSCHOOL will again offer three days of live music, along with DJ sets, workshops, panel discussions and collaborations with fashion and food entrepreneurs.

The lineup also includes Caroline Smith, Pearl Charles, Winter, Rituals of Mine, Luna Shadows, Madame Gandhi, Starcrawler, Trace, Kid Wave, Liphemra, KONA and Soto Voce, with Gavin Turek, Tamaryn, Honey Power and Val Fleury doing DJ sets.

Proceeds will benefit Rock N’ Roll Camp For Girls LA.

Early-bird weekend passes are now on sale for $45 here.
