Canadian rockers July Talk not only delivered a action-packed set on Tuesday night in support of their sophomore album “Touch,” but they had a proposal for the crowd at the Bootleg Theater. They said they would marry any and all the audience members who wanted to move to Canada “due to America’s political situation.” That went over well with the faithful — some of whom were witnessing the fourth July Talk show in Southern California in as many months — who had come to see lead singer Leah Fay and singer-guitarist Peter Dreimanis play off one another and engage in some stage calisthenics. As soon as they took the stage, Fay started sharing her drink with the folks in the front row, and things got more unhinged from there.

Nashville’s Mona, who just released a new EP titled “In the Middle,” preceded the headliners with a wall-rattling set, and Toronto quartet Little Junior kicked off the night.

July Talk setlist: Picturing Love, Summer Dress, Headsick, Gentlemen, Johnny + Mary, Guns + Ammunition, Now I Know, Lola + Joseph, Strange Habit, Beck + Call, Push + Pull, My Neck, Uninvited, Paper Girl.
