Welsh indie-poppers Los Campesinos gave one of their signature bursting-at-the-seams-with-joy performances at the Teragram Ballroom on Saturday night, the second of a 13-date North Americna tour in support of their new album “Sick Scenes.” The septet — who joke that they “essentially invented and rejected indie-pop in 2006, have released [six] albums, sold a lot of beer and are your ex-girlfriend’s favorite band” — have been making music for the heartbroken for 11 years, and those songs are still resonating today. The sold-out Teragram crowd shouted along and pumped their fists to a career-spanning set that included new songs “The Fall of Home” and “5 Flucloxacillin.” Toward the middle of the set, singer Gareth David promised “solid gold from here on out,” and the band followed with fan favorites “Knee Deep at ATP,” “My Year In Lists” and “Straight in at 101,” among others. They ended their encore jubilantly with “Sweet Dreams, Sweet Cheeks,” with David joining the crowd then returning to the stage to sing the last refrain with entire band.

New York’s Crying charmed the crowd with their “bubblegum cyberpunk,” with David later thanking them and saying “There aren’t many bands that all seven of us like and we all love them.”
