Fast-rising The Japanese House — aka 21-year-old Amber Bain — brought their winning indie-pop to the Teragram Ballroom on Friday night, playing songs from all three of their EPs, including last November’s “Swim Against the Tide,” which was produced in collaboration with George Daniel of The 1975. That connection with The 1975 had fans constantly looking around the venue to see if anybody from the fellow U.K. band was in attendance (when those fans weren’t singing along, that is); they weren’t, but members of Wolf Alice were, cheering on their friends from the VIP section. Blaise Moore opened the night.
