The story of the Russian activist punk collective Pussy Riot was brought to life in words, music, dance and projected visuals on Sunday night at the Fonda Theatre, where a troupe staged a theatrical production of “Revolution,” based on the book by band member Maria Alyokhina. She was on hand herself to play a key role in recounting Pussy Riot’s activities that resulted in members’ hiding from police, their arrest, time in a jail and stint at a remote penal colony. Clad for part of the show in balaclavas, as they did in their homeland, performers included Kiryl Kanstantsinau, the punk music duo AWOTT (Asian Women On The Telephone) and VJ Vasily Bogatov.
