Blondfire segued from a synth-pop act to guitar-driven dream-pop on their lush 2016 EP, “True Confession,” a truly pretty thing, from Erica Driscoll’s sky-blue vocals to its alluring guitar textures. Since then, the band has released some bonus tracks for its 2014 full-length “Young Hearts” and crafted a dreamy cover of the Ramones’ “We Want the Airwaves.” Friday will bring the swoon-worthy new single “Hear and Now,” a winsome, 3-minute reality check. “It’s about the ride of life and all of the ups and downs,” Driscoll says, “but in the end what matters is living in the moment.” If you remember the spirit of Letters to Cleo’s 1993 gem by the same title, or like “Lovelife”-era Lush, float on over here, and now.
