Banks & Steelz — the duo of Interpol’s Paul Banks and Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA — and Zipper Club kept the irons hot between their double-barreled appearances at Coachella weekends on Monday with a lights-out show at the El Rey Theatre. The headliners were without a guest vocalist on their single “Wild Seasons” (Florence Welch appeared on their album “Anything But Words,” and Bishop Briggs sang at Coachella Weekend 1, but RZA did come armed with a bottle of Grey Goose, which he shared just just before “Giant” (referencing lyrics “Roll those blunts and throw ya hands up / Pass me a cup of the Goose / In the club with the juice and the bud, getting bent out.”

With Zipper Club’s Lissy Trullie less bent out than at Friday’s Coachella set — where those red vinyl pants left her sweltering — the L.A. quartet opened the night with their infectious, fuzzy-dance-pop.
