► U2 brings its “Joshua Tree 2017” tour to the Rose Bowl for the first of two nights.
► The annual KROQ Weenie Roast goes off at the Stubhub Center, with Lorde, Incubus, Imagine Dragons, Cage the Elephant, 311, Paramore, Lana Del Rey, DREAMCAR, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Judah & the Lion, New Politics and the Revivalists.
► Americana trio the Wild Reeds headline the Teragram Ballroom in support of their new album “Only Songs,” with Blank Range and Allie Buckley supporting.
► Music returns to the recently reopened Los Angeles State Historic Park in the way of the Skyline Festival, which brings Miike Snow, Duke Dumont, Lido, Eden, Michl, Elohim and Jason Bentley to the downtown-adjacent expanse. [Set times at the end of this post.]
► Moving Units, winding up their tour for “Collision With Joy Division,” headline the Regent Theater, joined by Plague Vendor and Second Still.
► Bryan Adams headlines the Greek Theatre.
► And the Getty’s free Off the 405 series starts, with Nite Jewel Off the 405, with Nite Jewel performing in the museum’s courtyard.
