Hope you’ve all stayed hydrated. Here in the sweltering headquarters of the L.A. Buzz Bands Show, I’ve been drinking in all the new music that’s coming our way, and there is much of it. I’ve whittled things down to an hour’s worth of songs for tonight’s program, which kicks off at 9 p.m. on KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org). And an eclectic batch it is.

Noisy things from Moby, Together Pangea, the Black Watch and Tennis System. Pop things Mating Ritual, Youngblood Hawke, Luna Shadows, Precious Kid and the Federal Empire. Thoughtful things from Charlie Hickey, Kevin Morby and Purmamarca. Among others. And me, not talking much so I can squeeze in more music.

If you’re out of FM range, click here to stream the show at 9; your handy playlist is below.
