Set times have been announced for the Make Music Los Angeles stage at the Lexington in downtown Los Angeles — one of more than two dozen musical performances around L.A. today.

The Velopheliacs, The Knitts and Livingmore are among the local acts across the indoor and outdoor stages. The event is free, with doors at 5:30.

Held every June 21, the Make Music festival is based on France’s Fête de la Musique, a national musical holiday inaugurated in 1982. The festival is celebrated internationally across 800 cities in 110 countries. Other Make Music LA performances include those at the Egyptian Theatre; Beverly Canon Gardens; Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza; Colorado Center, Hotchkiss, Douglas and Palisades parks in Santa Monica; and the Skirball Cultural Center.
