Arroyo Seco Weekend debuts, with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Alabama Shakes, the Meters, Dawes, Charles Bradley and more, at Brookside Golf Course adjacent at the Rose Bowl. [See our preview, with set times, here.]
► The BET Experience brings A$AP Rocky, Schoolboy Q, Gucci Mane, Rae Sremmurd, Migos, Young Thug and Lil Yachty at the Staples Center
Animal Collective visit the Observatory.
Mating Ritual celebrates the release of it debut album “How You Gonna Stop It?” by staging No Matter What, a one-day mini-fest at the Hi Hat with Beginners, DYAN, La Bouquet, Oddnesse, Inspired and the Sleep and the Openers. Proceeds benefit Planned Parenthood.
La Luz performs a free show as part of the Off the 405 series at the Getty Center.
