Alt-pop songwriter Peter Barbee has announced the release of his sophomore album as Among Savages, “Accounts Of Friend And Foe,” due July 21, the follow-up to 2012’s “Wanderings Of An Illustrative Mind.” The new album finds Barbee looking within to address the anxieties, fears, and questions that come with this whole business of growing up and actualizing yourself. Lead single “If You See Her” is about a failed relationship with a wild woman. Being surrounded by Beyoncé’s gorgeous dancers in the music video definitely should help soothe his healing heart.

Video director Casey Brooks was doing a documentary about choreographer Dana Foglia, best known for  her work with Beyoncé, and Barbee seized the opportunity to have her dancers perform to “If You See Her.”  He says, “Fumbling through a few thank you’s to a room full of tall strong beautiful women, weird — I was officially living in a dream.”
