Surprise: L.A. pop quartet Foster the People, whose new album “Sacred Hearts Club” comes out Friday, have scheduled a free show on Tuesday at Club Bahia in Echo Park. The album is the third for the band, which earned three Grammy nominations for its 2011 debut “Torches.”

Entry to the show, which is 21-and-older, is on a first-come basis. Doors at 8 p.m.

Last week, Foster the People released the new song “Sit Next to Me,” the fifth tune they unveiled from “Sacred Hearts Club” before its release. The band kicks off its tour behind the album next Thursday, and on Aug. 19 plays the ALT 98.7 Summer Camp show at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. No other SoCal dates have yet been announced.
