Talib Kweli and Doug E. Fresh will headline the first West Adams Block Party, going off Sunday, Sept. 3, at Delicious Pizza, 5419 W. Adams Blvd.

The free, all-ages event, staged by L.A. label Delicious Vinyl and hosted by Girl is Tough and DJ Qwess Coast, aims to celebrate L.A.’s music, art and cultural diversity. Along with the headliners, the menu of jazz, funk, soul and hip-hop includes live performances from Tiffany Gouché, ILLA J, the Wav, Polyester the Saint, Niña Dioz, Hannah, Jansport J, Nanna B., Frank Nitt and El Padrino (with his son Cazal Organism), among others. Soulection DJs Joe Kay & Andres and DJ Crooks and Boomyard LA will also hold forth.

Delicious Pizza and Dilla’s Delights Donuts will be providing sustenance and there will be plenty of family-based activities.
