EasyFriend and Polartropica are among the artists performing on Chinatown’s Live Music Stage on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 8, in conjunction with CicLAvia’s Heart of L.A. event.

CicLAvia is a quarterly event that rotates geographic locations throughout L.A., promoting active transportation and good health through car-free streets. For the Oct. 8’s Heart of L.A. event, Broadway will be closed to cars — but open to pedestrians and cyclists — from downtown to Chinatown. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Oct. 8 matinee show will kick off at noon with two teenage rock bands, Off Task and Love Ghost, followed by the Unending Thread, Easy Friend and Polartropica. DJ Bumbaclot will spin all afternoon between bands.

In addition to the music, Chinatown’s CicLAvia hub will feature food, a craft beer garden, various booths and vendors and playground games for kids of all ages. It’s free.
