The Pains of Being Pure at Heart brought their fuzzy, bittersweet splendor to the Teragram Ballroom on Wednesday night, touring in support of their fourth album, “The Echo of Pleasure,” released early this month. Kip Berman and gang rolled through a dozen-song main set, playing just four songs from the new album, and ending it with the title track from their 2011 sophomore album, “Belong.” The four-song encore covered a lot of turf — a cover of Suede’s “Living Dead,” 2014’s “Kelly” (with Roxanne Clifford of Veronica Falls taking lead vocals), the title track to their 2009 EP “Higher Than the Stars” and perhaps their best-known single, “This Love Is Fucking Right!”

The Courtneys and the Prids opened the night.

Setlist: My Only, Anymore, Heart In Your Heart Break, The Body, Come Saturday, A Teenager in Love, Falling Apart So Slow, Eurydice, When I Dance With You, Young Adult Friction, Everything With You, Belong. Encore: Living Dead (Suede cover), Kelly, Higher Than the Stars, This Love is Fucking Right!
