The second annual Music Taste Good festival frolicked to a fantastic finish on Sunday night, leading up to an electric headlining set by Sleater-Kinney.

Several of the bands on the rotating main stage simply didn’t want to stop — Los Lobos and Y La Bamba kept playing even as the stage circled to unveil the next act. Los Master Plus spiced up the proceeding with a Spanish cover of Daft Punk’s “More More Time,” and Peaches nodded to Big Freedia, playing concurrently on the second stage. “This song is dedicated to Big Freedia because they made us play at the same time!” Peaches cried out. “Who the fuck does that!?”

The mood ranged from serenely beautiful for the likes of Rhye and Jay Som to frenetic for the party favors !!! (Chi Chk Chk) and the Hot 8 Brass Band dished out. Long Beach locals Dengue Fever got a deservedly big welcome too.
