The Lodge Room, the new venue at the old Highland Park Masonic Lodge, will debut Friday, Nov. 3, with a benefit show featuring Ty Segall, Bleached, Rodrigo Amarante, Mikal Cronin, King Tuff (solo), William Tyler, Shana Cleveland and Shannon Lay. The night is called LA United for Puerto Rico, benefiting Waves for Water, an effort to get clean water to residents of hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico. Tickets are $20.

► Speaking of benefit shows, Silversun Pickups and Minus the Bear will play the Theatre at Ace Hotel on Nov. 25, proceeds going to the Hispanic Federation’s “Unidos” fund for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico. Tickets ($35-$150) go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday here; presale tickets (code: HELPPR) go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday here.

► L.A. trio Moaning — remember this great video from 2015? — have been signed to Sub Pop and will release an album in 2018. Anybody who fondly remembers Moses Campbell should be turning somersaults. Meanwhile, Moaning will open for labelmates METZ at the Teragram Ballroom on Dec. 12. Tickets.

Kan Wakan has postponed the release of its opus “Phantasmagoria.” A press release said “new opportunities have arisen” for the album, which was celebrated last week at show at the Moroccan Lounge that saw the band playing behind astral light projections on a translucent screen. Composer Gueorgui Livev of Kan Wakan issues this statement: “A snail can sleep for three years, which is about the same amount of time it has taken me to finish my new album ‘Phantasmagoria.’ With the music complete, the final touches can often be the most challenging, with the details requiring confident guesswork and experimentation, whilst also dealing with uncertainty in a creative way. The end result will be an honest statement, ‘Phantasmagoria’ has grown into something I am truly proud of and I am humbly grateful for all of the new adventures, opportunities and collaborations this album is opening up. Coming soon, three LPs, made with love, uncompromisingly, and I cannot wait to share!”

The Gaslamp Killer has been dropped from lineup of this weekend’s Cloak & Dagger festival (and from Low End Theory) after rape allegations were leveled against him. They are detailed in this Pitchfork story, along with a statement from the artist — real name: William Bensussen — denying the allegations.

Moby, Polish Ambassador, Kerli and more will play the One Love Festival, a three-day electronic music/lifestyle festival Oct. 20-22  at Lake Perris, the latest in a group of “conscious”/”transformative” weekend events. Yoga, healing, workshops, meditation, all that.
