The weather was a bit chillier on Day 2 of The Growlers Six festival at the L.A. Waterfront, but the mood was upbeat and Julian Casablancas, Girl Talk, Butthole Surfers and the Growlers all saw big crowds huddled together for warmth and good times. The Junior Stage included excellent performances by Fear, Bad Brains and Beach Fossils. In addition to costumed dancers, big props, and lots of fog and special effects, Girl Talk showed everyone how much fun can be had with toilet paper, employing a leaf blower-paint-roller-TP shooter machine to engage the audience.

The Regrettes’ set was cut short after a woman wearing a costume eluded security, jumped onstage and knocked down the quartet’s Lydia Night. The frontwoman addressed the incident in an Instagram post, saying that she will be OK and that she did not know her attacker.
