Two albums, two sets, two sets of Deer Tick — that’s what fans at the Teragram Ballroom got on Saturday night.

In September, the long-running quartet released twin albums, “Deer Tick Vol. 1” and “Deer Tick Vol. 2,” the first a laid-back folk collection and the second a foray into punk and garage-rock. So their “Twice As Nice” tour saw frontman John McCauley and gang split the night into two sets. So after an opening routine by comedian Solomon Georgio, Deer Tick embarked on a mellow first half. Then, after a short break, turned the energy up for Part 2. Interspersed throughout the night were several covers, including Tom Petty’s “The Waiting,” Elvis Costello’s “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding” and Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful,” with McCauley dedicating the latter to everybody in the room.
