The Live Music Stage returns to Chinatown on Saturday for a post-parade feast of local artists including Sleep State, ZHAO, Nicole Kiki Jaffe, Royaljag, Faunavision and Dana and the Wolf.

The big attraction as the celebration begins for the Year of the Dog will be the 119th annual Golden Dragon Parade, which starts at 1 p.m. at Hill and Ord Streets, moves to north to Bernard, then heads east one block before proceeding south on Broadway. (See ChinatownLA for information on street closures.) The event — which is free and all-ages — is easily accessible via the Metro Gold Line.

The music kicks off near Chinatown’s Central Plaza, opposite the craft beer garden, as soon as the parade ends. The celebration also features a dance troupe, acrobats, the annual appearance by a Capuchin monkey, a vintage market, a roaming magician, an arts & craft fair and food trucks.
