Where her 2015 debut album, “Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit,” was introspective, Courtney Barnett’s new record, “Tell Me How You Really Feel,” shifts focus to other people: the good, the bad and unknown. First single “Nameless, Faceless” takes on internet trolls, even quoting some biting comments she’s received in the past, “I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup and spit out better words than you,” as well paraphrasing a famous Margaret Atwood quote: “Men are afraid that women will laugh at them; women are afraid that men will kill them.” The collage-based Lucy Dyson-directed video for the song features cats, hot dogs and whipped cream-topped planets throbbing in outer space.

“Tell Me How You Really Feel,” arrives May 18 through Mom + Pop, Marathon Artists and the Australian musician’s own label, Milk! Records.
