Albert Hammond Jr. brought a rather sleepy Troubadour crowd to life on Wednesday night with the second show of his tour in support of his new record “Francis Trouble” (which came out Friday). Early on in his set after a few acrobatic moves, AHJ ripped opened the back of his pants (see photo), joking, “Good thing I’m wearing my red underwear.” After a couple more songs he started to have another wardrobe malfunction, this time with one of his shoes. With a smile he told the crowd “Second show of the tour. You’ve broken me, Los Angeles. In the best of ways you’ve broken me! You’ve ruined me!” before continuing into the next song. AHJ and his band played a mix of songs from all of his records, with about half of his set consisting of new songs from his new release.

Openers were local punk rockers The Paranoyds, who spoke about finally being able to perform at The Troubadour, since they had been attending shows there since high school.
